BBC Money Box
I was delighted and honoured to be invited to do a slot on Money Box
The BBC website trailed my spot as - And, annuities are a safe, regular income in retirement. You can use your pension fund to buy one and a growing number of people are doing just that. Sales of annuities have seen an 83% increase since 2020, based on figures from the Association of British Insurers. We'll discuss what's behind that rise.
I was asked a number of questions by presenter Paul Lewis including:
- What is the cost for financial advice - shop around for a fixed fee
- Why are sales of annuities going up - rates are at the highest since 2008 credit crunch
- How to get free help advice - go to Pension Wise
